Warmer weather is finally here and so are our Outdoor Sport Courts are NOW Open (Tennis, Beach Volleyball, Ball Hockey, Beach Tennis). Summer 2022 is shaping up to be the best one ever, and we are looking forward to kicking it off at RSC Summer Kick-Off Open House on Saturday, May 7th.

Remember, to play any sport at RSC, NO MEMBERSHIP is required. We are a pay-as-you play facility. OPEN TO ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE!

Summer Kick-off Open House: Saturday May 7

On Saturday, May 7 between 9:30am to 2:00pm join us for our Summer Kick Off Open House, you won’t want to miss it! We’ll have FREE activities for everyone including: Tennis Round Robins, Yoga and Fitness classes, Outdoor Ball Hockey, Outdoor Beach Volleyball, Beach Tennis, Padel Tennis (NEW) and a Kids Korner! Plus, local artist Jeff DeValk is joining us for live music at The Bridge Public House from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

A reminder that we have 2 parking lots on Donald, angled street parking on Donald, and access to use Strathcona Park parking (across the Adawa footbridge on the Sandy Hill side).

The Bridge Public House: Announcing NEW Chef

The Bridge Public House (our restaurant) will be launching our new Spring Menu this weekend under the care of our AMAZING NEW Executive Chef John Kim.

John comes to us from Sterling, Eighteen, Beckta, Aiana – we are so lucky to have him! The Bridge Public House will be evolving into a Gastro Pub with artisanal, scratch cooking, local-focussed, healthy and delicious food. This weekend try out our NEW Brunch Menu (Saturday 9am to 2pm; Sunday 9am to 4pm) & NEW Regular Menu (all other hours we are open).

Ottawa’s Newest Sport: PADEL! Launching Soon!

Psssst….here’s the best kept secret. Ottawa’s newest sport is launching VERY SOON at the Rideau Sports Centre in partnership with Daniel and Henric Alfredsson.

Soon you will be able to book a Padel court online, register for a skills clinic, or play in our lunchtime Round Robins at RSC. Stay tuned for more information.

Competitive & High Performance Youth Tennis Assessments

We are holding assessments for the Youth Tennis competitive and high performance streams on the following days:

June 3, 7-8:30 pm: U14, U16, U18
June 10, 7-8:30 pm: U10, U12

The assessment sessions will consists of a 40 minute fitness and athleticism test, followed by point play for the remainder of the session in an ‘up and down the river’ format so we can get a sense of how the participants match up. These are the only assessment dates being offered for the 2022/23 season, so you must attend in order to be considered for any competitive or high performance groups. You can register now through your Club Automation account.
