Class Descriptions

26 & 2 Yoga is the original 90-minute Bikram sequence of 26 postures and two breathing exercises.  The heat warms up your entire body and allows you to work safer and deeper into your muscles, tendons and ligaments to improve strength, balance and flexibility.

Baby yoga is a class that gives moms an opportunity to share with other moms a post-natal Yoga session that will benefit their general health and wellbeing. The postures and positions in this class help promote flexibility, coordination, and muscle tone after pregnancy.

This class focuses on the basics of alignment and the evolution of strength and balance.  It is performed at a slower pace with emphasis on breadth, relaxation, balance and stretching.

This class concentrates on physical health and mental well-being.  Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation techniques (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. 

Intermediate level.

Build physical and inner strength and balance as you are guided through postures in a mindful yet dynamic and active way.  Challenging sequences are included along with inversions, arm balances and breathwork. You will find your power and calm through the combination of focused movement, breath and stillness.

This style of Yoga is suitable for those who are seeking an intense session that will raise their heart rate.  It is an active practice that emphasizes strength, endurance, flexibility and concentration.  In this class, more advanced postures will be offered and inversion options may be given. Vinyasa Flow Yoga is an all levels class, this style of yoga is characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.

This class is a balanced approach to yoga that offers active (Yang) yoga shapes (asanas) for the first half of the practice, followed by passive asanas in the second half.  Yogis come out of the Yang and Yin practice feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

This class is an opportunity to practice the art of slowing down and releasing. Yin Yoga allows the participants to deepen their poses by holding them for 3-5 minutes, learning to relax our muscles and stretch our ligaments, tendons, and fascia.  The incorporation of Reiki (an ancient Japanese method of relaxation and healing) brings an additional support for relaxation in the body, facilitating  settling  into poses and  opening our energy pathways, allowing us to soften into our body.
