RSC Pickleball Tournament
Join us on Sunday, August 9 for the RSC Pickleball Tournament, an afternoon of friendly competition, great rallies, and exciting playoff action.
Whether you’re looking to test your skills or simply enjoy a fun tournament atmosphere, this event is open to both RSC Members and Non-Members.
TOURNAMENT DETAILS
Date: Sunday, August 9
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Rideau Sports Centre
Capacity: 48 players across 12 courts
Cost: $45 per player
Prizes: Trophy prizes for the top finishers
CHOOSE YOUR DIVISION
Register in one of two self-rated divisions:
- Intermediate (3.0)
- High Intermediate / Advanced (3.5+)
Each division will have 24 players competing separately.
HOW IT WORKS
This tournament uses a Randomized Scramble Format, meaning you’ll play with a different partner and against different opponents throughout the event.
Each player will:
- Play six 15-minute games
- Receive randomized partner and opponent assignments using Doubles Matchmaker Randomizer
- Be ranked based on wins and losses, with total points used as the tiebreaker
After the round robin:
- The top eight players advance to the playoffs.
- The top three finishers select their playoff partners from players ranked 4th through 8th.
- Four teams compete in semifinal matches, followed by a best-of-three championship final.
It’s a unique format that rewards consistency, teamwork, and adaptability while giving everyone plenty of court time.
