Instructional programs designed to build your game from mastering every stroke to learning winning tactics.
Beginners
Designed for those who are brand new to pickleball, this program introduces the fundamentals of the game. Coaches will guide players through essential technical skills using a mix of instruction and guided play, helping to build confidence and set a strong foundation.
Beginners
Designed for players who want to build confidence and improve technical skills without starting over at the fundamentals. Ideal for those not yet ready for Novice-level court play, Learn to Play 2 provides extra support for strengthening the basics.

These clinics focus on developing both technical and tactical pickleball skills. Through targeted drills and coach feedback, players will enhance their game in a supportive environment. Each session includes a combination of instruction and play-based learning.

Kids Learn to Play: Fun beginner lessons to build confidence on the court. Focus on ball control, footwork, teamwork, and safety. Ages 9 & under.
Family All-Stars (1 & 2): Parent and 2 kids play together in simple drills and games. Learn basic skills, rally the ball, and enjoy quality family time. Ages 5–8 & 9+.
Teen All-Stars: Two groups: Beginners focus on Learn to Play basics, ball control, and teamwork; Novice/Intermediate learn tactics, technique, and gameplay. Under 16 years.

Leagues offer a fun, competitive way to challenge yourself. Our pickleball staff organizes matchups to keep play fresh and balanced, with results tracked and standings posted at the end of the session. Leagues are skill-based, ensuring competitive yet enjoyable play for all.

Focused sessions designed to improve your skills through practice and play scenarios.

This program blends structured skill development with match-style play. Players will work on specific techniques through drills, then apply what they’ve learned. It’s a great way to reinforce new skills while enjoying game-like scenarios.

Ladies Only, Social Play. Players can relax and learn the game with Instructor’s support, while enjoying recreational games in a social friendly vibe. Music provided, hula hoops optional. Great way to meet new team players.

Get ready to sweat! A cardio pickleball workout designed by RSC Fitness Coaches. With stretching, drills and a full hour of game play, Pickleball Fitness is designed to get you in shape for the season and build your court confidence, safely. Highly recommended for avoiding court aches and pains.

RSC’s Boot Camp Experience: With emphasis on Tactics Driving Technique. Lessons designed for experienced players who are looking to move up skill levels, inc. prep for tournament play. High Intensity drills, and game play.
Bring your game and your social side. From friendly open play to lively mixers and special events, it’s all about connecting, competing, and having fun on and off the court.
Free Open Play is one of the Pickleball Membership perks.
You can claim it by registering as normal. The system will recognize your membership and not charge you for the registration.
You can sign-up for a Weekly Sign-Up (including Pickleball Drop-In) program up to 7 days in advance.
A minimum of 3 participants are required to run a weekly sign-up. If 2 or less participants are signed up at 8am the day prior to the weekly sign-up program, it will be cancelled and participants’ accounts will be credited. Players will be notified of cancellations via e-mail.
We use a skill-level system ranging from Novice to Advance. Use our Level Self-Assessment Tool to determine your level.
RSC Pickleball staff reserve the right to remove/move players from an Open Play, Drop-In, Program, or League if they do not belong to the proper level.
To register for a tennis or pickleball program, you must have an account with a credit card on file. You can set this up directly on the RSC website: https://rsc.clubautomation.com.
Registrations can be completed through our mobile app, website, or at the Front Desk.

Participants should bring their own racquet and wear appropriate athletic attire and non-marking athletic shoes. Tennis or athletic shoes are strongly recommended for better performance, stability, and injury prevention. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
To find others to play tennis or pickleball with outside of your program, connect with players through our Player Finding Group on Facebook.
For tennis, you can also sign up for Weekly Sign-Ups, the RSC Super Ladder, or attend Tennis Social Events to meet new players.
For pickleball, Drop-In and Open Play activities are a great way to meet others, with multiple rounds organized each hour to play with and against different opponents.
Both sports also offer social events to help expand your network and connect with fellow players.
In the event of rain during outdoor tennis or pickleball programs, coaches will make the call whether the program will run or not. If the class is cancelled due to rain within the first half of the class, a full credit will be applied. In the case of rain cancellation after the halfway point of the class, no credit will be issued.
Make-up sessions are not available for missed classes.

RSC Lot A (Donald Street, closest to the river): 12 spots
RSC Lot B (closest to North River Road): 26 spots
City of Ottawa angled parking along Donald Street (3-hour limit): 42 spots + 3 accessible
Strathcona Park Lot (short walk across the Adawe Bridge): 34 spots + 1 accessible
City Lot at 400 North River Road: 78 spots + 4 accessible
Additional free street parking is available on North River Road and nearby side streets.
RSC also has bike racks that can accommodate up to 75-80 bikes.
