Yoga & Hot Yoga

Enhance your mind and body with a variety of yoga styles designed for all levels. From gentle relaxation to strength-building flows, our expert instructors create a welcoming environment to help you feel balanced, flexible, and energized. 

A slow-paced class that combines breath, relaxation, and gentle stretching to improve balance and alignment. Builds strength at a comfortable pace and is also available as Hot Hatha for those who enjoy the added challenge and warmth of a heated room.

Intensity:

Experience the original 90-minute Bikram sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises in a heated room (100-104°F). The warmth allows for deeper, safer muscle engagement, improving strength, balance, and flexibility.

Intensity:

This class incorporates energetic movement through a series of asanas (yoga postures), by which a sense of fluid physical motion will be experienced. Movement through these postures is matched with the breath, creating an even greater sense of flow, strength, ease and tension release.

Intensity:

Reclaim your body and boost your well-being!  This class blends yoga, self-massage, and corrective movements to release tension, improve circulation, and restore balance.

Intensity:

A meditative, slow-paced class where poses are held for longer durations, targeting connective tissues like ligaments. Ideal for deep relaxation and healing.

Intensity:

This energetic class moves through a series of postures synchronized with breath, promoting flow, strength, and tension release. Also available as Hot Flow for those who enjoy the added challenge and warmth of a heated room

A low-impact, full-body workout that blends ballet, Pilates, and dance-inspired movements to build strength, tone muscles, and improve posture. Focuses on core, legs, and glutes while enhancing flexibility, balance, and overall body awareness—perfect for all fitness levels.

Yogalates combines the core-strengthening benefits of Pilates with the flexibility and mindfulness of yoga. This fusion class enhances balance, improves posture, and builds strength while promoting relaxation and body awareness. Available in hot or regular formats.

Cardio & Strength

Build endurance, increase strength, and boost energy with our dynamic cardio and strength workouts. These classes combine heart-pumping movement with resistance training to challenge all fitness levels in a motivating group environment.

Push your limits with short bursts of high intensity exercises. Designed to boost endurance and strength. Tailored for all levels, this circuit will keep you burning calories long after your workout.

Low-impact, high-results! This gentle yet effective full-body workout targets multiple muscle groups through bodyweight, aerobic techniques, and resistance, making it suitable for all fitness levels.

Intensity:

Get your gloves on! This kickboxing class builds strength, balance, and reflexes with punches, kicks, and agility drills. Perfect for boosting fitness, coordination, and self-defence skills.

Intensity:

Elevate your fitness with this power-packed circuit! Combining resistance training and timed intervals, this workout maximizes muscle engagement and burns fat while keeping your heart rate high. Suitable for all levels, it’s designed to challenge and inspire.

Intensity:

Boost your fitness with a dynamic mix of cardio, strength training, and core work. This class combines 30 minutes of cardio, standing weight exercises targeting arms and legs, ab work, and finishes with a relaxing stretch. Perfect for building strength and power in a full-body workout!

Join a Class!

Fitness Tips & FAQ

• Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class time.

• Check in at the front desk when you arrive. If you are not checked in, you may be subject to a “No-show” fee.

• Turn off cell phones upon arriving.

• Keep all bags and personal items in the changeroom.

• Late cancellations (less than 2 hours) and no-shows are subject to a $10(+HST) cancellation fee.

All participants need to create a profile in the system. In addition to contact information, a credit card must be kept on file. Once established, participants can book classes through the RSC App in the Apple & Google Play Stores or on-line.

Yes, all are available, please bring your own padlock if you wish to lock your belongings.

Students must be at least 16 years of age.

If you are new to pilates, we recommend starting with our Pilates class, but all of our teachers can provide adjustments to make any class on our schedule accessible to you.

Yoga mat, towel, water bottle, comfortable clothes and a smile.

We have two studios, one of which is hot. All Pilates classes in the Sun studio are indicated as “hot” on the schedule.

There are plenty of parking options nearby:

  • RSC Lot A (Donald Street, closest to the river): 12 spots

  • RSC Lot B (closest to North River Road): 26 spots

  • City of Ottawa angled parking along Donald Street (3-hour limit): 42 spots + 3 accessible

  • Strathcona Park Lot (short walk across the Adawe Bridge): 34 spots + 1 accessible

  • City Lot at 400 North River Road: 78 spots + 4 accessible

  • Additional free street parking is available on North River Road and nearby side streets.

RSC also has bike racks that can accommodate up to 75-80 bikes.
