This 1 hour Ashtanga class is a shortened version of the Ashtanga Primary Series. Ashtanga is a very dynamic and athletic form of hatha yoga, made up of a fixed order of postures. It is rooted in vinyasa (the flowing movements between postures), and includes a standing sequence, seated postures, inversions and savasana with a focus on energy, breath and alignment. While it is a very physical practice, it also promotes mental clarity and inner peace.
This style of yoga can be practiced by any level as one will gain strength and confidence with continued practice.
