NEW RSC Pro-led Round Robins are a great opportunity to connect with fellow Summer Tennis Pass Holders, find new competition and test your skills. This season, our tennis pros are collaborating with dedicated RSC volunteers to create the best experience possible for participants by ensuring quality matches.

With a weekly first-come-first-serve registration, you do not have to commit to playing every week – only when it’s convenient for you. If you want to invite a friend to come and play, no problem – Round Robins are also open to non-pass holders for a fee.  Round Robins are free for Summer Tennis Pass Holders, and new balls will be provided every Round Robin!

Doubles Round Robins (How does it work?)

Round Robins are a great way for players to play with a wide variety of different people.  Players will be paired with a partner and play for approximately 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, players will be rotated by the coach and paired up with a new partner and take on a different pair of opponents. The idea is to play with as many different people as possible and test yourself against all kinds of different styles of play. RSC coaches will do their best to make fair matchups, but it is imperative that players sign up for the appropriate level to help achieve this goal.

How do I Book?

Log in and either sign into your account or create a new account.  Round Robins are open for sign-up 8 days prior to the date at 7 AM. Round Robins will close registration 3 days before the date. If the Round Robins do not fill, then we will open the courts to pass holders/public to book. Please note that if you sign up for a Round Robin you are expected to show up. If players sign up and do not come it will disrupt the entire game and we will have no choice but to prohibit these players from signing up again. Round Robins do NOT count towards your weekly booking time, and therefore they are a great way for pass holders to get additional court time. Round Robins are FREE for Summer Tennis Pass Holders but also open to walk on players for a fee.

 Tennis Etiquette

All players are expected to maintain a courteous and respectful behavior before, during, and after the matches. That includes good sense in calling the shots (in or out) and keeping score of the game.

Try to play with the mindset of “improving my game” instead of only “wining the match”. Remember that all players are equal players at RSC, and as such, share the same spaces and events as you. Therefore, keeping a positive attitude is essential to keep RSC an excellent place to make friends and practice tennis.

We look forward to seeing you on the courts this summer!

Self Assessment

Finding players of the same or similar calibre is essential to having a good game of tennis, and RSC’s mission is to facilitate this starting this season. When registering online for Round Robins and Ladders, please make sure you insert your self-assessed “rating” according to the Tennis Canada Self-Rating Guide (“VIVE LE TENNIS” – ÉCHELLE D’AUTOÉVALUATION (tenniscanada.com)). Please read the guide and do your best to make an accurate self-assessment. Additionally, we will be creating and on-court Pro-led assessment program which will help players establish an accurate rating, and properly integrate into the programs with players of similar ability. Please stay tuned for the launch of our Pro-led assessment program!
