Tennis Court Cancellation Policy:

Image result for cancellation policy

We would like to remind all our tennis customers that we have a NO CANCELLATION policy for court bookings.  It appears that over the last few months some of our Front Desk staff might have shown leniency when customers have asked to cancel their courts. Going forward this policy will be strictly enforced, due to the high demand for our indoor tennis courts. Thank you for your cooperation.

Live Music Series: Every Friday Night FREE 7:00-9:30pm

Friday January 31: Freight and Cargo

Heath,  sings and plays guitar–Ottawa born and raised musician who is interested in traditional country music and writing original material. I have spent the last 10 plus years building a solid repertoire of classic country hits and finding talented musicians, who are dedicated to the sound of Freight and Cargo, to play along side of. – If it ain’t country, cook it till it is.

Dan has played drums in numerous bands across a variety of styles ranging from country, rockabilly, jazz, latin, blues, rock, and pop. he has played numerous venues in the Ottawa and surrounding area. His highlight was playing in the Ottawa International Jazz festival with an Ottawa based Dixieland band known Souper Jazz band.

Brian  the upright bass player, is a lifelong musician with decades of experience playing all manner of traditional music, including bluegrass, gospel, and folk.

Lead guitarist Pete, ‘Lefty’ Noel has been active in music for 5 decades, playing many different kinds of music all over Canada and the state of Georgia.

Friday February 7: Dustbowl Daddies

With two albums to their name and dance-floor-shaking live performances, Ottawa-based indie-folk group the Dustbowl Daddies fuse lush alt-country harmonies with catchy indie-pop melodies, roots-rock jangle and stomp with poetic lyricism, and infectious ska/cowpunk energy with a joyful cooperative political spirit. In other words, what you might get if Mumford and Sons, Cake, the Strumbellas, Lucinda Williams, REM, Joe Strummer, The Specials, Woodie Guthrie, Joy Division, Tom Waits, and The Pogues threw a kitchen party.

The Daddies recorded their debut album, The Longest Day of the Year (2015), and the upcoming Boom and Bust Economies of Love (2020) in close collaboration with producer, technical engineer and honorary Dustbowler Dave Draves at the Little Bullhorn Studio in Ottawa.

Surprising facts: 1. Band members have published almost a dozen books on topics as varied as climate change, humiliation, poetry, corruption, populism, car culture, political rhetoric/communications, philosophy, international relations and beyond. 2. The band donates  the proceeds from many of its live shows and has raised more than $5000 so far for local charities.

Friday February 14: Clint Everson (Valentine’s Day)

Since their beginnings in early 2016, The Clint Everson Band has been electrifying audiences across Canada with their original blues/roots sound. This seven piece group features a full complement of seasoned musicians who have been actively engaged in Ottawa’s blues scene for years, hailing from celebrated bands like Firebelly and The Drew Nelson Band.

Though as an ensemble The Clint Everson Band has been together less than two years, they have entrenched themselves in the music scene. The band was a finalist in the Ottawa Blues Society’s 2016 “Road to Memphis” blues competition, and has been expanding their audience with the 2017 release of their FACTOR funded debut EP “Clear to Me”. The album is co-produced by Clint Everson and Dean Watson and recorded at Gallery Recording Studio in Ottawa, Canada. Everson’s songwriting, guitar and vocals set the tone on this album, while the strength of the band elevates the arrangements and musicianship to new heights.

The Clint Everson Band is excited to be included in a growing number of festivals in 2017, including Westfest and RBC Bluesfest.
