Raised in an active and health-conscious family, Lora’s interest in the field of health and wellbeing has been a natural evolution that was reinforced through positive personal experiences with alternative healthcare.
Finding that the remedies offered by allopathic healthcare were at times not suitable, she had recourse to various alternative healthcare modalities at times as a substitute or as a complementary treatment, solidifying her interest in a career in the alternative health field.
Massage therapy was an easy gateway into Manual Therapies, which meet her need to have an active lifestyle coupled with the opportunity to work directly with people. However, feeling limited by the scope of practice, she sought a more holistic form of intervention that would pursue the cause of the dysfunction. Osteopathic Manual Therapy was the answer for her.
Nearing the end of her studies in Osteopathic Manual Therapy, combined with the vast experience from 16 years of experience as a the Massage Therapist, her treatments can be tailored to suit the client where they are on their wellness journey.
Having witnessed firsthand the impact a healthy lifestyle can have on quality of living she is adamant about helping others find the same freedom and understanding toward their body. Her approach aims at uncovering and eliminating the blockage that get in the way of balance, to help clients manage stress, recover from injuries, address chronic conditions and find harmony in various systemic functions of the body.

Since moving to Ottawa in 2008, he has been involved in many different groups including the seven-piece soul band he leads called the Hornettes, and Little Bones, Ottawa’s original Tragically Hip tribute act.
