Jeremy began playing tennis at the age of 10. By the age of 12 he was invited by Tennis Canada to train at the National Training Centre in Toronto. Having competed in several National and International competitions including Rogers Junior National Championships U-14, U-16, U-18, and ITF Gatineau Futures presented by National Bank Financial, Jeremy has extensive experience competing at a high level.
After returning from NCAA in January 2015, Jeremy continued his passion for tennis and began his career coaching. Using the first hand knowledge he acquired through high performance from his time spent as a player training with world renowned coaches such as Rick Macci, Bob Brett, and Heath Waters, he helped produce several players that competed at a National level.
Jeremy has implemented a High Performance Junior Program at RSC for youth looking to build their tennis experience and mature into responsible, professional, and talented individuals.
Jeremy’s hobbies include continuing his education in business management, running his start up company Global Tennis with his brother, and spending time with his family.
We are proud to call Jeremy a dedicated member of the RSC family and leader in the tennis community!
The Ottawa 67’s are hosting a Talk Hockey Gala on Wednesday February 20th at RSC in support of children’s sport. With a goal of $20,000, the first-time gala is focused on raising funds to support after-school sports and recreation programs to the children and youth of Strathcona Heights, specifically The Strathcona Tigers Hockey Team.
Strathcona Heights is home to one of the largest Ottawa Community Housing neighbourhoods, housing many families and children in our local community. RSC is thrilled to be able to participate in this amazing community initiative to make sports accessible to children, no matter what their financial situation may be.
With various sponsors and organizers, we very excited for the upcoming event and look forward to raising funds to support our local community! We are happy to announce that tickets are now SOLD OUT for the event! Don’t worry, you can still support the cause – CLICK HERE TO DONATE!

Carnaval Noir: Secret Location Masquarade Event at RSC
Yesterday evening, February 16th, RSC housed Ottawa’s Secret Location Event, Carnaval Noir. Makers of Harvest Noir host charity parties to raise funds for Wheels4Refugees all year round. Tickets for events go on sale, with a secret location disclosed only 6 hours before the event begins! People from near and far arrive dressed in black and dance the night away with amazing food, drinks, and music.
RSC had the pleasure of celebrating the FIRST Carnaval Noir on our historic grounds, and boy was it a treat! There were mystical creatures, beautiful costumes, and stunning masks!

Friday, February 22: Alana Sterling – 6:30-9:00pm (UPDATED TIME)
Alanna Sterling is a part-time mermaid unicorn, full-time rockstar. Her powerful voice is an unlikely discovery in small-town Ottawa. This rainbow haired character delivers the full spectrum of performance: from jazz R&B, rock to ska, disco to grunge. Expect to hear her solo on trumpet or saxophone on stage, or do cartwheels up and down her 3.5 octave range. Alanna is an outspoken advocate for mental health and uses her songwriting as a platform to express her personal struggles with trauma, depression and anxiety. She wields music as a potent tool to transform those struggles into something beautiful. Her ultimate goal as a musician is to provide her listeners with a voice they can resonate with, helping them to overcome their own personal battles.
This year, Sterling started live streaming music online through Twitch TV under the alias “MermaidUnicorn” and has since gained fans all across the globe by live-looping tunes while playing a selected few of the 40 instruments she has taught herself. As well, she uses her live stream as a music-and-talk therapy session for those in need, and has also utilized this platform to raise money for charitable causes and disaster relief.
