RSC is proud to announce their BRAND NEW HIGH PERFORMANCE JUNIOR PROGRAM! Having been open for just over one month, the program is already seeing impressive results in current junior tennis participants, and is peaking demand in program expansion.
On February1st, SIX of the new junior team members travelled with the program’s HEAD COACH, Jeremy Gibbens-Schnider, to The AVIVA Center in Toronto to compete in the National Selections Qualifying Tournament.
Jeremy Gibbens-Schnider, a top-player in Canada, and former NCAA Division 1 Player, says High Performance is ALL ABOUT CULTURE. The kids are expected to be professionals on and off the court, and work hard in all aspects of their life. Building great tennis players is only part of what we do, we are building high performing individuals. Jeremy is excited to have keen young athletes to work with and develop into mature and driven individuals.
RSC is looking forward to the growth of the new program and will strive to provide the best learning environment for the athletes of the future!

Friday, February 22: Alana Sterling – 6:30-9:00pm (UPDATED TIME)
Alanna Sterling is a part-time mermaid unicorn, full-time rockstar. Her powerful voice is an unlikely discovery in small-town Ottawa. This rainbow haired character delivers the full spectrum of performance: from jazz R&B, rock to ska, disco to grunge. Expect to hear her solo on trumpet or saxophone on stage, or do cartwheels up and down her 3.5 octave range. Alanna is an outspoken advocate for mental health and uses her songwriting as a platform to express her personal struggles with trauma, depression and anxiety. She wields music as a potent tool to transform those struggles into something beautiful. Her ultimate goal as a musician is to provide her listeners with a voice they can resonate with, helping them to overcome their own personal battles.
This year, Sterling started live streaming music online through Twitch TV under the alias “MermaidUnicorn” and has since gained fans all across the globe by live-looping tunes while playing a selected few of the 40 instruments she has taught herself. As well, she uses her live stream as a music-and-talk therapy session for those in need, and has also utilized this platform to raise money for charitable causes and disaster relief.
