Sunday, November 18th: Marc Albert

Recent New Brunswick transplant, Marc Albert has played all over Canada, including parts of the Yukon and B.C coast as well as through his home province. His style of jazz and classical influenced folky blues creates a style and feel all his own. Drawing from influences such as Chet Baker, Tom Waits, James Taylor, Marc’s original pieces are well crafted, lyrical and happily nostalgic, paired with vocals that shine along with his classical fingerstyle playing.

Sunday, November 25th Jamieson Mackay (Click here for music sample)

Described as the sound of leaving a party alone to walk the store for cigarettes, Shadowhand creates a dark, down-tempo, and ambient accompaniment to the lyric songs of Ottawa’s Jamieson Mackay. It sounds like walking through a field at night. Maybe it just rained, but the sky is clearing, and you know before long you will see the moon.
“They convey moodiness in a way that is not altogether gloomy, enthralling the listener with subtle flourishes and a wide-open sound” – Ottawa Showbox

Winter Footwear: No outdoor footwear on the courts

Winter is HERE!  Ottawa received quite the snowfall this past Thursday into Friday, and we would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone about our our outdoor footwear policy.

Absolutely NO OUTDOOR FOOTWEAR is allowed on the Indoor Courts (Tennis and Multi-Sport). It is crucial to the longevity of the courts, that we protect them against wetness and salt. Please make use of the trays/carpets at the entrance for each dome and if you must walk to your court, we ask that you remove your outdoor footwear first.

Your assistance in following this policy will help keep our courts clean as we get closer to a Winter Wonderland!
